Starlia Relief Change Log

v0.6.0 — Sleep without the green light

  • Sleep mode. One of you couldn't sleep with the green sensor light glowing all night. Now: swipe to the new Actions screen, tap Sleep, and Starlia shuts its sensors off — light included. Tap Resume in the morning. Nothing wakes up on its own. (The watch takes ~15 seconds to actually go dark.)

  • The weekly survey now asks once. It was coming back on every wrist raise — one of us got it ten times in a night. Sorry about that.

  • Two quiet bugs fixed. A failed survey tap could stop heart-rate monitoring for a day without telling you. And a check-in interrupted by your watch could resurface hours later, offering breathing for last night's heart rate — it now lets the moment go.

  • Plus: steadier heart-rate display.

v0.5.4 — Older watches welcome

  • Now runs on Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, and SE (1st generation). We lowered the minimum watchOS version again, so Starlia installs on several older models that were shut out before. If TestFlight told you the app was "Incompatible" — even after our last update — please try once more. If it still won't install, tell us which watch you have; that's genuinely useful to know.

  • Survey emails now arrive. Fixed a configuration gap where the tester lookup table in our automation system wasn't populated, causing the survey link email to be silently dropped after you tapped a rating in the app. If you submitted a rating and never received the Google Form link, your rating was recorded — the email just didn't go out. We'll be in touch directly if this affected you.

v0.5.3 — Wider watch support

  • Runs on more Apple Watches. Lowered the minimum watchOS version, so the app now installs on more watch models — if it showed as "Incompatible" before, try again.

v0.5.2 — Fewer false alarms

  • Starlia waits a beat before nudging. It now looks for your heart rate staying up for about ten seconds, rather than reacting to a single stray reading. Quick blips from just standing, walking to another room, or a momentary sensor glitch won't set off a check-in anymore — so when Starlia does reach out, it's for something real. Genuine stress lasts much longer than a stray beat, so it still comes through.

v0.5.1 — Nudges stay out of your way

  • The check-in comes to you, not over you. When you're looking at Starlia and your heart rate rises — even if the screen has dimmed — the check-in now opens right there instead of a notification covering it. You'll only get a notification when you've actually left the app (crown-pressed to the watch face).

v0.5.0 — Practice sessions & seeing the change

  • Start a practice session. For something calming — tea, flowers, or meditation — swipe to the rightmost screen and pick your practice. Starlia quietly tracks your heart rate through it (no breathing prompts, no interruptions), then shows how it settled when you end.

  • See the change at a glance. After any moment Starlia helps with — a detected spike, a check-in you started, or a practice session — the heart-rate screen briefly shows the before→after (e.g. 102 → 74 ↓28 😌), then fades on its own.

  • Cleaner nudges — you'll only ever have one pending nudge at a time.

v0.4.0 — Nudges that reach you anywhere

  • Get nudged even when you're away from the watch. If your heart rate rises while the app is in the background or your wrist is down, you'll now get a notification — raise your wrist (with "Return to Clock" on) or open it whenever you're ready. Ignore it and it simply stays as a quiet record; nothing runs without you.

  • Nudges are always about right now. Fixed a case where a tap could arrive long after the moment had passed.

  • Steadier in the background and a little less jumpy about small movements.

v0.3.0 — Stays quiet while you move

  • No more buzzing while you walk or climb stairs — the watch waits until you've settled, then still nudges if your heart rate stays high.

  • New check-in faces: 😰 anxious · 😤 frustrated · 😭 sad · 🤩 excited · 🥱 tired · 😮‍💨 physical · 😊 calm. Tap 😊 calm to skip breathing whenever a buzz feels off.

  • Detection tuned to you — sensitivity now adapts to your own heart-rate patterns.

v0.2.0 — Closed beta baseline

  • The full loop: the watch notices an unexpected heart-rate spike, invites you to name the feeling, guides a one-minute breathing exercise with gentle haptics, then checks whether you feel better.

  • Start a check-in yourself anytime by double-tapping the heart-rate number.

  • Session recap, onboarding, and tester sign-in.

v0.1.0 — First on-wrist build

  • Earliest version for friends & family: the core detect → breathe → reflect loop running live on a real watch.
